ROOTS OF PEACE IN AFGHANISTAN WITH ABC NEWS ANCHOR, CHERYL JENNINGS

Oscar Night Debut

February 20, 2015—San Francisco, California: Roots of Peace Founder/CEO, Heidi Kuhn, and, President, Gary Kuhn, traveled with ABC7 News Anchor Cheryl Jennings, to Afghanistan to produce a five-part news series, featuring Roots of Peace, which will air on Oscar Night – Sunday, February 22nd 2015.

Heidi, Gary and Cheryl met privately with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, General John F. Campbell, U.S. Ambassador Michael McKinley, and USAID Mission Director William Hammink. This was a historic event for Roots of Peace and a symbolic gesture from the Afghan government to show their support of civil society and alternatives to war in the country.
