When you give to Roots of Peace, you will be meeting critical community needs in cultivating sustainable peace through agriculture. In the wake of disasters on war-torn lands, you are empowering entire communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Working with our partners, we eradicate landmines and make the land safe for farmers to plant agricultural seeds. These trees grow to provide carbon credits to improve the air and combat climate change. As these fruit trees are nurtured, the harvest of hope impacts families through export and trade.
Together, we empower the most vulnerable families to overcome poverty by planting deep roots of peace which help children of all backgrounds to experience the fullness of a healthy life—avoiding the loss of a limb to a landmine and healing the land to provide fresh fruits to nurture the body on former battlefields. Through export and trade, farmers are able to double their incomes which provides hope as we tackle poverty at its root.
